  Child Support

The Child Support Division collects court ordered child support and alimony and distributes it to the court ordered payee.

Advantages of having the court collect and distribute the payments include providing information to the parties of the case as to yearly amounts paid, current status and proof of payment.

We work in cooperation with Illinois Department of Public Aid and forward their portion of payments directly to them, when required to do so.

We fund the Child Support Enforcement Agency located within the State's Attorneys office. They assist in getting funds from the court ordered payer and have assisted in bringing down the amount of overall arrearage.

There is an administrative fee of $36.00 per year, paid by the obligator. This money is collected to offset our expenses to maintain your records at the county level.
